Midwest Cup 2011
In April we traveled to St. Louis to spend the weekend with 3 other street soccer groups from Minnesota, Michigan and Missouri. The trip was a great oppurtunity to get to know each other better and spend time with others from around the country facing the same challenges. We played a soccer tournament there with the help of some guest teams.

Regular Meetings:
Practice - We meet on Mondays from 9am - 11am in an empty lot near the Lancaster shelters. The field dimensions are spray painted down and goals built from pvc pipe are placed in position. A little warm up, some drills and then we usually have some pickup games.
League Play - Thursday nights we play in a Men's Over 30 Indoor league. Games are played at Game On Sports. Our team name is the NTX Stars. This has been a great experience really pushing everyone's physical and mental abilities in the heat of competition.
Kickin' the Streets is an outreach program that is part of a world-wide effort designed to encourage and assist those living on the streets to improve their lives. We use sports as a catalyst to build trust, motivation, self respect and hope. It is our mission to help our players escape homelessness for good!
The goal of this program is not to have happier homeless people. It is about restoring their human status and changing their expectations of themselves! Street Soccer teams world-wide boast tremendous success records. In fact, 75% of all players who remain dedicated to the program are maintaining housing and have steady employment or are in transitional programs within the first year!
We cannot accomplish our goals, alone! It is only with the help of God and our community that Kickin' the Streets will be successful! Go to our "About Us" page for information about some of the individuals in our program.
